The Aegean Group fully complies with the provisions of Law 2472/1997, as amended, and has made the necessary notifications to the Personal Data Protection Authority.
The management and protection of the personal data of the visitor/user of the website services is subject to the terms of this section as well as the relevant provisions of the Greek Law 2472/1997 on the protection of individuals from the processing of personal data, as supplemented by the decisions of the President of the Personal Data Protection Committee, Presidential Decrees 207/1998 and 79/2000 and article 8 of Law 2819/2000 and Law 3471/2006 on the protection of personal data in electronic communications) and European law (directives 95/46/EC and 97/66/EC). The present terms are formulated taking into account both the rapid development of technology and in particular the Internet and the existing – although not fully developed – network of legal regulations regarding these issues. In this context, any possible relevant regulation will be the subject of this section. In any case, the website reserves the right to change the terms of personal data protection in accordance with the applicable legal framework. Accordingly, these privacy terms may be revised and updated at any time and without notice. Users of the website are requested to periodically check these terms for any changes, as continued use of the website implies acceptance of all possible modifications.
The visitor/user can visit a large part of the website, without revealing his identity and without providing any personal information. However, there are certain areas of the website (such as indicatively the area regarding "Participation" and "Support") access to which requires the registration of the visitor/user and the collection of personal data and, where appropriate, sensitive personal health data for specific aims.
The Aegean Group collects personal information and, on a case-by-case basis, as long as sensitive data is required of the visitor/user, only when they themselves voluntarily provide it with the aim of achieving the purposes mentioned under F. Personal information is information that can be used to identify or contact an individual as well as other information relating to that individual. Sensitive data in this case only concern health matters.
The personal data and sensitive data collected and processed on the website as the case may be are as follows:

A) In case of completion of the electronic communication form by the respective interested party/beneficiary
For the visitor/user to communicate with the Aegean Team, the following information is requested: name, region, email, phone, message. The above information is required for the Aegean Group to communicate with the visitor/user, it is kept in the database file of the website and can be used as provided below under F.

B) In case of completion of the electronic contact form by the interested volunteer. For the communication of the visitor/user with the Aegean Team, the following information is requested: name, region, age, email, phone, occupation, CV. The above information is required for the Aegean Group to communicate with the visitor/user, it is kept in the database file of the website and can be used as provided below under F.

C) In case of completion of the electronic communication form by the interested friend, donor, ambassador, contractor and mega contractor.
For the visitor/user to communicate with the Aegean Team, the following information is requested: name, region, age, email, phone, occupation. The above information is required for the Aegean Group to communicate with the visitor/user, it is kept in the database file of the website and can be used as provided below under F.

D) In ​​case of subscription to the Newsletter.

For the registration of the visitor/user in the mailing lists of the website's newsletters, the following information is requested: first name, last name, e-mail. If the visitor/user chooses to subscribe to the Newsletter, the Aegean Group and its partner (in particular the electronic communication platform provider, mailchimp) may record and use the user's e-mail address for the sole purpose of sending him the Newsletter, as well as periodic updates on the actions of the Aegean Group, the ways of support that the visitor/user can choose to carry out, if they wish, medical articles and studies, periodic updates on the actions of non-governmental organizations and non-profit associations/organizations in Greece and the outside. Sending the Newsletter is not personal and confidential correspondence, it is an information campaign and its content can be read, for the purpose of checking compliance with the law, by the provider of the electronic communication platform.

E) Use of Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are transferred by a website to the hard drive or browser of the website visitor for additional functionality or to monitor the use of the website. The Aegean Group uses cookies with limited capabilities. The cookies it uses do not collect or store personal data about visitors/users or data about how they used the website in the past. The Aegean Group uses the information it receives from cookies only for "blind" statistical analysis and to adjust the way it communicates with the public. The visitor/user can set their browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies or notify you when a cookie is created.

F) Data protection and processing
The Aegean Group keeps the above data exclusively for the purposes stated herein and for the period of time that is absolutely necessary for the fulfillment of these purposes.
The Aegean Group keeps files with these details exclusively for the purpose of the visitor/user's access to the provided electronic applications, their service, participation in the Aegean Group, better communication, information about the activities of the Aegean Group, support and execution of the relationship between the user and the Aegean Group, for statistical reasons, for scientific and research reasons (under the condition of maintaining anonymity only for scientific and research reasons, unless the disclosure of the name is specifically agreed in writing) as well as for more general purposes of promoting the services of the Aegean Group, especially after specific and explicit consent-consent of the user regarding sensitive personal health data by accepting the conditions of participation that appear in the electronic contact form.
The Aegean Group safeguards the personal data and sensitive data of visitors/users and does not forward them to any third party (natural or legal person) that is not related in any way to it for any reason, as well as in the cases provided by law or requested by the competent authorities. The Aegean Group may share some of the personal data and/or sensitive health data of the visitors/users with the affiliated or cooperating groups or natural or legal persons, for example, with cooperating doctors, with the project manager of the respective beneficiary (user of the website), with the person who undertakes the communication to find sponsors/donors/contractor, mega contractor, with the sponsor/donor/contractor/mega contractor itself with cooperating diagnostic centers, with cooperating assisted reproduction centers, with administrators of the bases its data/technical support companies, with the sole purpose of helping it carry out its work and actions, as detailed on its website.

G) Privacy and security of personal data processing

The Aegean Team has taken the necessary technical security and organizational measures for processing the personal data and sensitive health data of visitors/users. The personal information collected is stored on limited access password-controlled servers and the Aegean Group uses special technologies and procedures and takes strict physical, electronic and administrative security measures to strengthen the loss of such information against loss or misuse as well as to protect them from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction.

However, no data transfer over the Internet is guaranteed to be 100% secure. This means that, although the Aegean Group strives to protect the personal data of visitors/users, it cannot ensure or guarantee the security of the data that the visitor/user transmits to it and does so at its own risk.

H) Rights of the data subject – Communication:

The subject of the data can contact the competent processor appointed by the controller Aegean Group with contact details tel. 210 6442041, email [email protected], 12 Konstantinou Allagianni Street, Markopoulo Attica, P.O. 190 03, in order to exercise the right of information, access and objection to the stored data concerning him in accordance with articles 11,12, 13 and 2472 respectively of Law 1997/15. In this case, the Aegean Group, within XNUMX days at the latest, informs the subject of the data held concerning him. Also, following a relevant request from the data subject, the Aegean Group immediately modifies the data held.

If the user is under the age of 18, it is assumed that he has obtained the necessary consent from his parent(s) and therefore the network servers may collect his personal information in accordance with the conditions herein. The Aegean Group is not responsible for unauthorized use by minors.

If a visitor / user does not agree with the terms of protection of personal data provided in this section, he must not use the services of the website.
