Three decades Waves of Love and Hope in the Aegean
Since thirty years, the Aegean Team (Omada Aigaiou) crosses the Aegean Sea from one end to the other, not just sailing its waters, but weaving a strong web of giving, support, empathy and solidarity among its small and isolated islands.
Our actions are implemented by the inexhaustible energy of volunteering and deep commitment to improving living conditions in the island communities we embrace.
This year we celebrate an important milestone – three decades of constant dedication and supply!
A journey that touches the soul
Every year is a new beginning for us!
With attention to every detail, we plan and carry out our Expeditions in the Aegean, reaching the most remote islands of the archipelago, with our 11 inflatable boats and the specialized support vessel "MONTH E".
From the supply critical medical services to the construction of basic infrastructures such as sports facilities, kindergartens, playgrounds, desalination systems, free access ramps to the sea and many more, the provision of medical technological equipment as well as educational equipment to schools, our initiatives are deeply aligned with needs and expectations of the islanders.
We create every time waves of love which are not just about providing aid – but about strengthening hope and tangible support for thousands of people, wrapped in the warm arms of our dedicated volunteers.
Caring for island communities, culture and environment with love
In the Aegean Group, most of 30.000 medical tests they testify to our dedication to the defense of the most precious commodity, health, while our educational and cultural activities give life to the traditions and the future of these historic islands.
The schools shine with new equipment, the fields, the playgrounds, the gymnasiums, the kindergartens, resound with the laughter of the children.
The seminars animal welfare but also those for equal opportunities and possibilities, the First Aid trainings, The environmental actions they create a new culture of empathy.
All this thanks to partnerships and trust that we have cultivated with love all these years.
