For the 26th year, the Aegean Team - regardless of the unprecedented conditions created by the pandemic - was close to the residents of small and critical islands, recognizing their difficulties in accessing larger islands or urban centers.

The 26th Diaplus was successfully completed with the active participation of the National Public Health Organization (EODY) and the Hellenic Pulmonary Association (HPA). The main purpose of the Mission was to check for COVID-19.

In just 5 days the inflatable boats of the Aegean Team traveled more than 450 nautical miles to offer services to our 13 islands.

The joint mission, consisting of EODY medical and nursing staff, EPE doctors, volunteer doctors and members of the Aegean Team, visited the islands of Fournos, Thymaina, Patmos, Leipsos, Arkios, Agathonisi, Donoussa, Schinoussa, Heraklia, Amorgos, Ios , Sikino and Koufonisi.

Checks for Covid-19 were carried out by EODY, as well as preventive medical tests and microbiological tests by the Aegean Group and EPE. In addition, the Aegean Team offered medical supplies and equipment to the islands.
