This October, the Aegean Team will be close to the residents of Ios.

After the summer season with its intense tourist activity, we will carry out a number of medical examinations and checks for infection by COVID-19.

Our goal is for the residents of Ios to be protected as much as possible for the coming winter and to be able to carry out their activities without interruption.

Doctors from 13 different specialties, nurses and specialized paramedical staff participate in the mission.

Implementing the cooperation of the Aegean Group with the Hellenic Pulmonary Society (H.P.E.), the Hellenic Rheumatology Society & Professional Association of Rheumatologists of Greece (H.E.P.E.-E.P.E.P.E.) and the Hellenic Cancer Society Company (E.A.E.), residents will be given the opportunity to meet their needs in matters critical to their health.

The women of the island, in addition to medical examinations, will have the opportunity to perform mammograms, thanks to the mobile mammogram unit of the Hellenic Cancer Society.

In addition, all residents will be informed about the importance and benefits of vaccination against COVID-19, by a representative of the Hellenic Pulmonology Society.

In Ios, we will also have the great pleasure of inaugurating the ramp for the disabled for free access to the sea (it is the third ramp for the disabled built by the Aegean Group), which was already operational this summer.
