This year, the Aegean Team (Omada Aigaiou) celebrates an important milestone, these three decades of consistent dedication and service, and sends Waves of Love to every resident on every island that will be visited by the more than 120 volunteers, with the 11 inflatable boats and the support boat 'MINAS E' of the Aegean Team. 

Distinguished doctors of all specialties, prominent professionals of the health sector, and professionals of all other fields, together with volunteers of all ages with a love for the small and undeveloped islands of the Aegean, will start on May 16, 2024 from Lagonisi, the 30th Anniversary of Diaplo with the first stop at Fourni, and in order, they will visit the islands of Thymaina, Agathonisi, Arkios, Lipsos, Patmos, Kinaros, Sikinos and Koufonisi to return to their base after 11 days at sea, on May 26. On the side of the Aegean Team and on the journey of giving and solidarity, this will be the year the favorite artist, Yiannis Zouganelis for one anniversary concert on the island of Leipsi on May 20.

During the 30th Anniversary Diaplo, medical services, infrastructure projects, educational, cultural and environmental actions as well as new pioneering services will be made available to the residents.

Doctors from 18 different specialties, nurses and specialized paramedical staff, will offer high-level medical services with the latest technology portable, diagnostic equipment. The participating medical specialties are:

At the same time, they will be held blood tests and special clinics will operate, the Breast Clinic and POST COVID Clinic.

The medical diagnostic equipment of the doctors of the Aegean Team includes the state-of-the-art portable chest ultrasound scanner for the diagnosis of diseases of

lungs, portable ultrasound devices for multi-type examines, news ophthalmic lamp and latest technology dental equipment.

This year, for the first time on a small and uninhabited island, them Miss you, the Medical Department of the Aegean Group, organizes, on 20 May, one pioneering Interdisciplinary Educational Medical Seminar on:  "Prevention of Important and Common Diseases", with the support and assistance of the Ministry of Health.

Among the distinguished speakers, there will be two regular professors of the School of Medicine of the University of Athens and scientific members of the Board of Directors. from all the scientific companies and clinics with which the Aegean Group collaborates.  

The aim is for the residents of Lipsi and beyond, to be informed and to discuss with the experts, topical issues of prevention and diagnosis of some very important common diseases, which concern the daily lives of all of us. 

Based on data from the latest population census and severe subfertility problem, the Aegean Group, through its sponsor, and the HOPEgenesis program, will "adopt" the women of Sikinos, which is going to they give birth to children, for three years.

At some point in our lives the First Aid offer, may save lives!

In Diaplo, he will be with us for one more year Hellenic Red Cross (HRC). The EES nurses/trainers will offer experiential training in First Aid to students of all school levels. A valuable knowledge useful for their whole life.

A constant concern of ours is the construction of infrastructure projects and the supply of logistical equipment. This year, the major projects include complete reconstruction of the gymnasium in Leipses, the construction of a multi-purpose field in Agathonissi and the installation of a prefabricated hut for the accommodation of cultural events in Koufonisi.

At the same time, we will equip the schools with computers, electronic equipment, books, educational and recreational materials, consumables and everything that can help students progress. 

In the framework of social awareness, the clinical psychologist Dimitra Zafira will hold a seminar on his very topical subject school bullying to the students of the Primary School of Patmos and a seminar on diversity to the students of Sikinos.

Also, the students of the islands will attend approved by the Ministry of Education online philanthropy lessons, thanks to our collaboration with AMKE Zo.E.S. and the educator, writer and animal therapist Katerina Papapostolou. The students of Koufonisi will have the pleasure of attending the lessons for life, together with a certified mediation dog for children. 

Η environmental protection is another pillar of our actions. With us in Patmos, will be All for Blue, where with the guidance of its volunteers, the elementary school students will clean the coast at Lampi beach and they will watch special training seminar for importance of environmental protection. 

The Aegean Team has been known for many years for its variety of cultural activities which offers. In addition to the concert of Yiannis Zouganelis, there will be shadow theater performances, theatrical performances and a music and dance event.
