The Aegean Group, recognized in its 29 years of activity, for its uninterrupted dedication
in the social contribution to the small and undeveloped islands of the Aegean, he announces with enthusiasm
a series of volunteer activities on the beautiful sandy island of Samothraki during the Winter
of the Mission, from 1 to 5 November 2023.

Nestled in the waters of the Northern Aegean, Samothraki has a rich history and
cultural heritage and stunning natural landscapes. As an arid island, it faces challenges
which require coordinated actions in order to upgrade their daily conditions
its inhabitants.

Our actions during our Mission are:

1. Medical Examinations: Qualified doctors from ten different specialties, such as
Vascular surgeon, Radiologist, Gynecologist, Dermatologist, Oncologist-Breast Clinic,
Orthopedic, Pulmonologist, General Surgeon, Plastic Surgeon and ENT, will offer
their services completely free of charge. Medical scientists participate in the Mission
companies: Hellenic Pulmonology Society, Hellenic Dermatology Venereology Society.

2. First Aid Seminars: First Aid training seminars will
carried out by the volunteer trainers of the Hellenic Red Cross for
children of all school grades.

3. Educating children about Stray Animals: Interactive educational programs on the subject
our coexistence with animals, stray and tamed, with the participation of certified
mediation dogs and the educator-animal therapist and author Katerina
Papapostolou. They concern students of all school levels. The training will take place in
collaboration with Amke Zo.e.s.

4. Training of Municipal Authorities and Municipal Employees on Stray Animals: Programs
for the training of municipal employees regarding the Management of Stray Animals,
in accordance with the obligations for the Municipalities, as they derive from the new legislation
frame. Training will be provided through the Zero Stray Academy.

5. Carving Your Way to Success Seminar: A special seminar from
specialized professionals (Volunteers of the Aegean Team) for high school students with
in order to help them discover and develop their professional future.

6. Deliveries of Material and Technical Equipment to Schools: Strengthening of school units
island with the necessary logistical equipment.
This initiative by the volunteers of the Aegean Group underlines our ongoing commitment
to create tangible positive results for the residents of Samothrace and
at the same time to promote solidarity, cooperation and volunteerism.
